affiliate-marketingI am definitely getting into affiliate marketing online but it is going to take plenty of time and effort. I need to build a substantial flow of traffic and gain the attention and loyalty of readers. This will all take time and I am totally fine with that. After all, I do need to make it worth while for you to visit this site and come back regularly for information. So even without traffic, I have a plan to start making affiliate income.

Instead of trying to start on the internet where as of this post I have very little traffic to this site if any at all, I figured I would start offline. At first it didn't make much sense to me how this would work. If I am to become the next internet mogul, how is starting offline going to help me?

Motivation from offline success will help me succeed online

It is tough to do any kind of affiliate marketing online when you don't have any traffic. Okay its basically impossible. So by starting offline with business owners that I already know, I can plant the seed for what I plan to do online. Here's how Im going to do it:

I have met plenty of business owners through my offline business and have built some good relationships with them. I have decided that I will approach some of them with a web marketing package for their business (Note: this has nothing to do with my current business). Now I actually get to put some of the things i've been learning to good use. All these long nights of reading will pay off. So the plan is to build them an excellent website (which I have done for myself plenty of times including this one), create and manage an email newsletter for their business,  and market their offline business online by building a web presence online using the standard website, a mobile website, the email newsletter, and all of the main social networking sites like facebook, twitter, etc. Not only will I set this up for them but I will teach them how to use them effectively. Okay I know this sounds like I am just starting another company and you're wondering how is this going to help me become the next internet mogul. I'll explain.

Doing this sort of marketing will help me make the transition from my my current business to a business where I can work at home and be on the computer more. Also, it will teach me (and force me to learn) more about marketing online. These are two important things that I will need to make money online.

So where does the affiliate marketing come in?

Here is where the affiliate marketing will start my passive income stream and really get me excited to make money online. First, when I start the web marketing campaign for the client, I will have them sign up for the same web hosting company I use right now which is IcdSoft. I have been using them for over 7 years now and I highly recommend them. I am an affiliate for IcdSoft so when they sign up I will get a commission on their annual hosting year after year as long as they are a customer. I am confident that they will be a customer for a very long time just because of how happy I have been with them. Secondly, I also use a service called Aweber. It is an email marketing service that I use myself for my own marketing campaigns. I even use it on this website. Since I will be handling their email marketing campaign, I want to use a service that I am familiar with and use myself. Did I mention that I am also an affiliate for them? So every month that they pay for the service I get a commission on that. I even signed up for that service from someone elses affiliate link so someone is making a commission from my monthly service fee. In fact, it's John Chow!

After completing just a few of these campaigns for clients I will be very excited to know that I now have passive income coming in that will be the seed for making my fortune online. I already have my first client almost on board. I will let you know when I close the deal and when my first affiliate income starts rolling in. I'm extremely excited!
