I have now added a Facebook style chat bar to the footer of countdowntowin.com. I searched high and low for the right chat bar. I tried many free services such as BumpIn, Conduit, Footerchat, and some others but they all seemed like they just weren't quite right. They lacked features that I wanted or they had features that I didn't want. I was really just trying to find a Facebook style chat bar. I wanted something simple, functional and I also wanted one that would reside on my server so I would have complete control of it.

In my last post I shared with you what Countdown To Win is. Although the site has not officially launched I want to share some new features that I have implemented. We all know Facebook is the biggest social network site of right now and I'm putting that fact to work for Countdown To Win. I have used the tools they have created to help promote the site and also to make it easier for members to promote the site to their friends on Facebook. What is Countdowntowin.com?
Countdowntowin.com is a giveaway site where members sign up, log in, and Countdown To Win. Put more clearly, people sign up to the site, become members, create a profile, talk to other members and watch as a countdown timer counts down to zero then gives away the prize being shown to one lucky random member who is logged in at the time of the drawing. And it's completely free.
